發問:

A ring of uniform width is made by cutting out the central part from a circle. The radius of the circle cut out is 5cm and the area of the ring is 374 cm2 . Let x cm be the width of the ring.. express the radius of the larger circle in terms of x find the width of the ring

最佳解答:

[(5+x)^2]π-[5^2]π=374 [(5+x)^2]π= 374 + 78.5 [(5+x)^2]π= 432.5 x = 7.0045

其他解答:

I am not sure if i have understood the question correctly, let see if me solution solves you problem: let the large radius be x, then (x^2)*3.14 - (5^2)*3.14 = 374 x = 12.005cm (the " * " means "times")6524A8F25B63629D
